Pedreguer is a typically agricultural town in the north of the province built at the foot of the "Muntanya Gran" (large mountain), with abundant irrigated land where are harvested vegetables, citrus fruits, and vines whose grapes are very good. It also has an industrial activity specialized in the manufacture of bags, hats and leather goods. An originality of this city are the facades of its houses painted in bright colors, its balconies screened, the stones of lintels and the doors made of worked wood. There are some interesting modernist elements. In the Plaza Mayor, where the parish church of Santa Cruz is located, there is an arcaded structure called the "Porxes" where the market takes place. It is worth visiting the hermitage of San Blas, "la Pelleta", at the foot of the mountain, which is reached by a cypress cross path. It is also necessary to climb to the "Mirabarques" (look at the boats) the belvedere from which one contemplates the best views of the region.
